When I first read that network marketing is a people business, not a numbers business, I admit I was skeptical.
Since then I have had proof after proof that it really IS a people business. And for that I am greatful.

I find it much easier to help and mentor people, than push numbers at them.
And the giant bonus is, that while I do this, often my efforts turns into lasting friendships
and business relationships, that lasts, and at the same time builds my business.

For me, this approach has taken the stress out of, and put the pleasure and fun into building my business.

Don't give up!

Troughtout history, it is the people who do not give up on their dreams, that get there.

Look at people like Edison, Carnegie, Ford to mention a few of the famous ones.

But there are many more who are not necessarily famous at all.

Stop the chatter in your mind

Have you ever felt like you couldn't think straight. That there is too much noise. Too much information overload.

Are you feeling emotionally and physically overwhelmed, before your day has even started.

We are being bombarded like never before in history, by the information industry and the media, and far from all of it is good.

Beware of pyramid schemes and online scams

I am indescibably sick of the amount of offers being passed of as good opportunities online.

So many decent hardworking people are being ripped off , having their time wasted, and being relieved of their hard earned money, while trying to better the situation forthemselves, and their families.

Now there are a couple of companies that have come under fire from the attourney generals office this past week, and we are hearing phrases such as SHUT DOWN and BANK ACCOUNT SEIZURE.

At present it looks like some victims may be reimbursed for some of their losses.

What you can do to ease your way into new territory

To begin with, many of us have to work regular jobs, beside our network marketing.
On top of that, there are numerous chores and responsibilities we face on a daily basis.
That means that the best possible thing we can do for ourselves, is to organize and prioritize.

Time has to be made for family. That is the number one reason for many of us to go into network marketing in the first place, so that we can have more time to spend with our families. And time for a good nights sleep, so we can function.

The remaining time has to be divided between the rest of our responsibilities.

That means going over our daily activities, a bit like an efficiency expert would go
through the daily activities in a workplace to deternine where and how things could be
done with less waste of time.

You will be surprised how much time you can save in the course of a day, when you get organized.
A few minutes her, fifteen minutes there, and so on, and suddenly you have an extra hour or
two at your disposal.

Where it is possible, it is also beneficial to work together as a family, share chores to get more time together.

Guard your time well.

That also means, do the research on what type company (business model) will respect your time, and how to recognize the scams, so that you do not waste precious time, and hard earned money, while building your business.

Be passionate about pursuing your dream

Anything worth doing is worth doing well, and no matter what we choose to do, it likely involves a certain amount of real work.

When it comes to network marketing, that is a blessing in disguise, because the fastest way you learn is by working the system.

Once you find a proven duplicateable system (see success in 10 steps for how to locate such a system), make a decision to succeed. Then act like a terrier. Don't give up for any reason.
Have an open mind, and be prepared to learn. Seek out help, and be organized. But most of all be focused.

Without focus, determination and passion, you won't make it.
If those ingredients are missing, you will give up when you hit a bit of rough road.
If they are in place, that same stretch of road will make you even more determined.

In the end the # 1 most important ingredient is a proven duplicateable system, because if your system does not work, no amount of passion and determination will yield success.

Dare to dream

In order to break out of our boxes, (you know, the " boxes" created to limit us from early on),
we have to allow ourselves to dream. Even to dream big. Sort of the way we used our imagination when we were kids. Kids have the ability to imaging things unhampered by the
surrounding reality. I don't scoff at reality, but when it gets in the way of visualizing the path of our dreams, then we are clinging to it, in a way that stops us from realizing those dreams.

We then stop ourselves from making the goals that will get us there, and moving forward toward those goals. When that happens, we will never realize our dreams. In effect, we limit ourselves.

Fortunately, there is a way to get that childhood ability back.

FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS

The better part of my life, so far, I have been enjoying my existence, and indulged in a bit of adventure here and there, and I feel blessed.
I have always tried, to be helpful where I could, and I feel that is the reason for my most of my blessings.
I believe we reap what we sow.
The one area in which I have been fairly conservative, is my work.
Most of my life, I have worked as a caregiver, and it has given me great satisfaction.
The financial part of it however is a bit lower on the scale of satisfaction.
Add to that the fact that I am in my early fifties, and beginning to wonder, how long I want to
continue to do a fairly heavy physical job.
Also, the issue of income for the later part of life, rears its ugly head.
Enter the thought of residual income.
The convenience of a check continuing to arrive in your mailbox, after you stop working.

So I threw myself into multilevel marketing, at the end of 2007.
I proceeded to waste time and money, for the next 6 months, believing what I read, when I joined several opportunities.
I soon realized, that the supposed "great" opportunities I had joined, were not so great for me. I quickly learned, that not all opportunities are created equal, and I began to actively search, for one that would allow me to build a real business for myself, and be there with the promised support. (Being a complete newbie in that industry, I needed constant support).

I began checking out a lot of "opportunities", without actually joining any, and finally at the end of march, I stumbled on a free ebook on direct matches (a social networking site).
On a whim, I downloaded the book, and read it, and that turned out to be the turning point of
my life in more ways than one.

Not only did I find an opportunity that meant helping other people, which suits my personality, but also, I was not expected to sell anything, (I am a lousy sales person).
In addition, I found unending support, in building a business, that has already started paying me residual income, and best of all, I can see it growing steadily.
I have also received literally thousands of dollars worth of training for free, and found a great number of new friends, who have become dear to me already.

I simply can't say in words how fortunate I feel to finally be "home".
